Founder

Amit Jain

President, CEO and Founder
Amit brings over 20 years of executive management, technological and entrepreneurial experience to the Prysm team. With a proven track record of growing successful technology-related businesses, and a career that spans the data-storage, high-end optical telecommunication, and low-cost datacom devices industries, Amit is well versed in the integration of technologies and manufacturing processes.

Before founding Prysm, Amit was CEO of Bigbear Network and the co-founder and CEO of Versatile Optical Networks, which was acquired by Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. At Vitesse, Amit led the Optical Systems Division as Vice President and General Manager until the division was acquired by Avanex Corporation. 

Prior to Versatile, Amit held several management positions in startups and established large companies including Terastor, Optex Communications, and Digital Equipment Corporation. 

Amit holds a BS in Physics, a BSEE, MSEE & MBA degrees.

 

Roger Hajjar, PhD

CTO and Founder

Since 2005, Dr. Hajjar has pioneered Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) technology, working with multidisciplinary technologists and business people in the U.S. and around the globe. Dr. Hajjar has registered more than 40 U.S. and worldwide patents and has a proven record of success in taking optical-based technologies from inception to high-volume manufacturing.

Prior to Prysm, Dr. Hajjar served as Vice President/GM of Transmission Subsystems with Avanex Corporation and Vice President of Technology with Vitesse Semiconductor. Dr. Hajjar was Chief Technology Officer and founder of Versatile Optical Networks prior to its acquisition by Vitesse, and later Avanex. Dr. Hajjar held management positions with TeraStor Corporation and the Eastman Kodak Company. He also held research positions at the Optical Sciences Center at the University of Arizona and IBM’s T.J. Watson Research Center.

Roger holds a Ph.D, M.S. in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Boston University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Sales

Dana Corey

VP Global Sales

Dana brings over 15 years of global sales, marketing and management experience to the Prysm team.

Prior to joining Prysm, he was Vice President of Channel Sales for Barco. In this role, Dana managed sales and business unit responsibility for the Indoor, Outdoor and Creative LED, Lighting, Image Processing and Projection products. Prior to this role, Dana served as Director of Marketing for Barco’s Rental & Staging, Digital Cinema and Media business units and helped post record growth for the company worldwide. He was previously part of the executive management team at Folsom Research, a leader in image processing products worldwide when it was acquired by Barco after posting record year over year growth for the company. Prior to Folsom Research Dana held several management positions in the financial and advertising markets.

Dana holds a MBA in Marketing from UOP and BS in Finance from CSU.

Steve Scorse

VP, EMEA

Steve brings more than 30 years of general management and global sales and marketing experience to the Prysm team. Steve has successfully lead organizations to record growth and sustainability using his technical knowledge of various display technologies and vast experience in global sales, product development, marketing, and operations. 

Prior to joining Prysm, Steve held several senior executive positions over a 11-year period at Barco in both Europe and the US. Prior to Barco, Steve served as European Managing Director at three different US corporations: Projection System Manufacturer at AmPro Corp, Consumer Display Manufacturer at RasterOps Inc, and Laser Display Manufacturer at Greyhawk Systems Inc.

Steve holds a BS degree in Chemistry from London University, and prior to his display industry career, was a research assistant at the University’s Imperial College of London.

Marketing

Christine Morris

Director of Marketing

Christine Morris brings Prysm over 12 years of marketing experience in the AV industry. She has a proven track record in both large and small organizations of strategic positioning, creative conceptualization, and motivational leadership combined with an innate ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. 



Prior to Prysm, Christine was director of corporate marketing for Barco where she held accountability for marketing initiatives for all divisions in North America, and became known for her ability to position products for explosive growth. Christine developed and executed business strategies for the LED, projection, LCD, image processing, and display markets. Prior to Barco, Christine was marketing manager for Folsom Research when it was acquired by Barco.

She holds BS in Marketing from University of Oregon.

Finance

Jasbir Singh

VP, Finance

Jasbir Singh has served as CFO and VP of finance for Prysm since the company was founded in 2005.

Prior to Prysm, Jasbir served as CFO/ VP of finance for numerous start-up companies in Silicon Valley, including Equator Technologies (acquired by PixelWorks in 2005) and Versatile Optical Networks (acquired by Vitesse Semiconductor in 2001). He also helped spin-off the digital imaging division of Conexant Systems in 2002, served as the VP of finance for the newly formed entity, and ultimately sold the business to ESS Technology in 2003. Jasbir began his career with KPMG in 1991.

He holds BBA and MBA degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.

Engineering and Operations

Clinton Carlisle, PhD

VP, Engineering

Clinton has more than 22 years of experience in the development of innovative products using lasers and opto-electronics. He is the inventor on 31 issued U.S. Patents.

Prior to Prysm, Clinton worked for Cypress Semiconductor, where he brought a family of optical navigation sensors (ONS) to the markets for optical mice and handset products. 
Before his work at Cypress, Clinton served as VP of Engineering at Silicon Light Machines, a venture-backed start up developing laser-based HDTV displays. Clinton also worked for Sensys Instruments (later acquired by Therma-Wave and subsequently KLA-Tencor), a start-up specializing in integrated Si wafer metrology tools for CMP processes.

Clinton started his career at SRI International (formerly Stanford Research Institute) where he worked for 10 years on the development of various laser-based sensing products.

Clinton holds a PhD in Physics.

Greg Podshadley

VP, Operations

Greg has over 20 years of manufacturing and operational experience with extensive knowledge in new product introductions, worldwide supply chain solutions, outsourcing, and procurement.

Prior to Prysm, Greg was Vice President of Operations at Coulomb Technologies, an Electric Vehicle Charging System startup.  Previous to Coulomb, Greg was the Vice President and General Manager for an autonomous business unit specializing in providing mission critical security firewall products and services to 95% of fortune 500 companies.  Greg was also Vice President of Operations, Engineering & Customer Support at a venture funded start up, Powerfile which produced DVD/Blue-Ray permanent archive solutions to enterprise and consumer class customers.

Greg was also the Founder of NPI Solutions Group that provided operational and hardware engineering experience to numerous start-up companies. He has held a number of executive level positions at SGI, Ciena, Zambeel, and Shoreline Communications.

He received his B.S. in Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Patrick Tan

VP, Massachusetts Center

Patrick Tan brings Prysm more than 25 years of executive, technical and global operations management experience derived in data storage and optical telecommunications as well as time spent working for new technology ventures.

Prior to Prysm, Patrick was president of Dragon Fire, a consulting practice that delivered engineering and systems solutions, and a co-founder of Firefly Technologies, a micro-optic process technology company that was successfully sold to Zygo (Nasdaq: ZIGO). He later served as VP Operations of the subsidiary company, and on Zygo’s Board of Directors.  Prior to that, Patrick worked at Digital Equipment Corporation and Quantum Corporation where he led a Disk Drive Development program, directed a start-up of a 3000-strong head-assembly-operation in Indonesia, and established an Asia-wide technical support center in Singapore. 

Patrick holds a BSME and MSME from MIT.

Varadha Raju

VP, India Center

Varadha Raju brings Prysm more than 24 years of experience in software development, product engineering, quality engineering, global product support, multi-site program management, and business management.

Before joining Prysm, Varadha worked for Symphony Services, where he built a strong team of 1,300 and put systems and processes in place to scale the company for its next level of growth.
 Prior to Symphony Services, Varadha was AVP at Hughes Software Systems (HSS), delivering software products and services to global customers. Prior to Hughes, he held various management positions within Phillips Consumer Electronics Division focusing on Television, set up boxes and digital transmissions. He also established a software development organization in Singapore while at Phillips. He has held engineering positions at Tektronics and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).

He holds a BS in Electrical and Communications Engineering from University of Madras, India.
