Patrick Tan brings to Prysm over 25 years of executive, technical and global operations management experience derived in data storage and optical telecommunications as well as time spent working for new technology ventures. Prior to Prysm, Patrick was president of Dragon Fire, a consulting practice that delivered engineering and systems solutions.

Before Dragon Fire, Patrick was a co-founder of Firefly Technologies, a micro-optic process technology company that was successfully sold to Zygo (Nasdaq: ZIGO). He later served as VP Operations of the subsidiary company, and on Zygo’s Board of Directors. Prior to that, Patrick worked at Digital Equipment Corporation and Quantum Corporation where he led a Disk Drive Development program, directed a start-up of a 3000-strong head-assembly-operation in Indonesia, and established an Asia-wide technical support center in Singapore.

Patrick holds a BSME and MSME from MIT.
