Clinton has more than 22 years of experience in the development of innovative products using lasers and opto-electronics; he is the inventor on 31 issued US Patents. Prior to Prysm, Clinton worked for Cypress Semiconductor, where he brought a family of optical navigation sensors (ONS) to the markets for optical mice and handset products.
Before his work at Cypress, Clinton served as VP of Engineering at Silicon Light Machines, a venture-backed start-up developing laser-based HDTV displays. Clinton also worked for Sensys Instruments (later acquired by Therma-Wave and subsequently KLA-Tencor), a start-up specializing in integrated Si wafer metrology tools for CMP processes.
Clinton started his career at SRI International (formerly Stanford Research Institute) where he worked for 10 years on the development of various laser-based sensing products.
Clinton holds a PhD in Physics.
