Yatin Mundkur
Partner, Artiman VenturesYatin Mundkur focuses on early-stage Technology and Medtech investments. As a Partner of Artiman Ventures, he is currently on the boards of Cellworks, InfiniteZ, Pricelock, Prysm, Virident Systems and XTRM.
Before joining Artiman Ventures in 2004 as a Partner, Yatin was Managing Director at TeleSoft Partners, where he led investments in over twenty companies, in the early stage semiconductor and software sectors. Prior to joining TeleSoft Partners, Yatin founded and served as President of Equator Technologies, a developer of Programmable MediaProcessors. His prior experience also includes VP/Group Manager at Conexant, and Chief Architect/Design Manager at Sun Microsystems, Ross Technology and Cypress Semiconductor.
Yatin has over 17 years of overall experience working with technology companies in venture capital. He also holds ten patents in areas of computer architectures, digital consumer electronics, semiconductor design, and software.
Yatin holds a B.S.E.E. from MSU of Baroda, India, and a M.S.E.E. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Tim Wilson
General Partner, Partech InternationalTim joined Partech International in 2001.
Between 1997 and 2001, Tim was the Chief Marketing Officer for Digital Island (ISLD) a Partech portfolio company. The company was acquired in 2001 for $350M. Prior to Digital Island, Tim was a General Manager at Lucent Technology where he led the international voice communications product management team (now Avaya) with P&L for product lines generating over $2B in annual sales. Before Lucent, Tim held a variety of senior management positions within AT&T (North America and Australia) and AT&T Bell Labs from 1983-1995.
His current boards include Invensense (in IPO registration), Prysm, Five9s, LedEngin, Array Converter , and Acco Semiconductor. Previous investments include Teknovus (Broadcom) and Ario Data (Xyratek).
He graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Bowdoin College receiving his undergraduate degree in Physics. He received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he was named a Fuqua Scholar.
Heidi Roizen
Fenwick and West Entrepreneurship Educator, Department of Engineering, Stanford UniversityHeidi Roizen has spent her life immersed in the Silicon Valley ecosystem – as an entrepreneur, corporate executive, venture capitalist, educator and member of the boards of directors of private and public companies, trade associations and nonprofit institutions.
After receiving her undergraduate and MBA degrees from Stanford University, Heidi co-founded T/Maker Company (an early personal computer software company) in 1983, where she served as CEO from inception through its acquisition by Deluxe Corporation in 1994. In 1996, Heidi joined Apple as Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations. From there, Heidi entered the venture capital world, serving as a Managing Director for Mobius Venture Capital from 1999 to 2007.
Today, Heidi is a Fenwick and West Entrepreneurship Educator in the Department of Engineering at Stanford University, where she teaches the course “Spirit of Entrepreneurship” for the Stanford Technology Ventures program. Heidi is a member of the board of directors of TiVo (NASDAQ:TIVO), of Prysm, Inc., and of Yellow Media Inc (TSX:YLO). She also serves on the advisory boards of Springboard Enterprises and the National Center for Women in Information Technology. Finally, Heidi’s entrepreneurial venture, SkinnySongs, is available on iTunes and Amazon.
During the fall quarter of 2010, Heidi served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Entrepreneurship Club of the University of Edinburgh Business School in Edinburgh, Scotland. She is the 2008 recipient of the Annual Achievement Award from the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs and Executives (now Watermark).
Fred Forsyth
Fred brings over 30 years of executive management to Prysm.
Prior to Prysm, Fred was the COO for the LeapFrog enterprise, where he was responsible for product development, information systems and operations. Previous to LeapFrog, Fred was the CEO of NewRoads, Inc., a leader in outsourced logistics for the direct channel. Before joining NewRoads, he was the President of the Americas for Solectron, the largest outsourcer of contract manufacturing services at the time.
Fred was also the President of the Professional Products Division of Iomega and spent more than 7 years at Apple Computer where he was Sr. VP of Worldwide Operations. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade each at Digital Equipment Corporation and General Electric Corporation in a variety of manufacturing management assignments.
Fred has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire and a MBA from Babson College.
Amit Jain
President, CEO and Founder, Prysm, Inc.Amit brings over 20 years of executive management, technological and entrepreneurial experience to the Prysm team. With a proven track record of growing successful technology-related businesses, and a career that spans the data-storage, high-end optical telecommunication, and low-cost datacom devices industries, Amit is well versed in the integration of technologies and manufacturing processes.
Before founding Prysm, Amit was CEO of Bigbear Network and the co-founder and CEO of Versatile Optical Networks, which was acquired by Vitesse Semiconductor Corp. At Vitesse, Amit led the Optical Systems Division as Vice President and General Manager until the division was acquired by Avanex Corporation. Amit holds a BS in Physics, as well as BSEE, MSEE and MBA degrees.
Roger Hajjar, PhD
CTO and Founder, Prysm, Inc.Since 2005, Dr. Hajjar has pioneered Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) technology, working with multidisciplinary technologists and business people in the U.S. and around the globe. Dr. Hajjar has registered more than 40 U.S. and worldwide patents and has a proven record of success in taking optical-based technologies from inception to high-volume manufacturing.
Prior to Prysm, Dr. Hajjar served as Vice President/GM of Transmission Subsystems with Avanex Corporation and Vice President of Technology with Vitesse Semiconductor. Dr. Hajjar was Chief Technology Officer and founder of Versatile Optical Networks prior to its acquisition by Vitesse, and later Avanex. Dr. Hajjar held management positions with TeraStor Corporation and the Eastman Kodak Company. He also held research positions at the Optical Sciences Center at the University of Arizona and IBM’s T.J. Watson Research Center. Roger holds a Ph.D, M.S. in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona and a B.S.in Electrical Engineering from Boston University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
